After completing a double Masters in Services Marketing and Revenue Management at Business School in France, I started my career in New York working in the Revenue and Reservations department at a hotel operated by one of the world’s biggest brands.
Two years later I moved to London to join a growing company specialising in Revenue Management systems. The company expanded rapidly and I was supporting a portfolio of over 870 hotels, ranging from small budget hotels to luxury palaces. As Consulting Services Manager I travelled extensively throughout the US and EMEA working on implementing a culture of Revenue Management to suit the needs of hotel groups and individual properties. This helped me gain a unique set of skills and detailed knowledge to recognise that not one size fits all and that each situation needs to be specifically tailored to optimize revenue.
Five years later I joined one of the UK’s fastest growing hotel companies specialising in Lifestyle Hotels. I held the role of Group Revenue Director and managed all aspects of Revenue for their portfolio.
During my tenure we opened new hotels in London, Amsterdam and Paris, creating great success as well as having fun! I constantly looked for improvements both in terms of developing the team as well as re-shaping and adjusting the Revenue Management Strategy. I challenged the norm with distribution constantly re-shaping and adjusting it based on latest trends but also integrating the right technologies: systems, payments, partnerships, etc. This resulted in us having a cost of travel agent commission that was significantly below the industry average.
This disruptive approach made the brand one of the leaders in forward thinking as to what the customer wants from a hotel brand in today’s competitive environment.
I am passionate about hospitality, I love projects, I love to share knowledge, and I am a little bit of a “geeky one” deep down. I will always make an impact and I get a lot of satisfaction from helping businesses get off the ground and maximise their potential.
